Rio Parismina Lodge, Costa Rica

Fe have just wound down our 2013 fall season and what a season it was! WE had the best weather that I can remember in a long, long time. We fished the ocean every morning and every afternoon except 1-1/2 days. We had very little rain and the Tarpon were ever present to provide our anglers with fantastic action! The icing on this season's cake was the incredible size of these monster Tarpon. All of our guests have remarked on the giants being landed this fall. Most of our Tarpon were over 100 pounds and several of these behemoths were estimated to weigh in at over 170 pounds! Now that is a lot of Tarpon!

David mcCaleb and Bo Pitts from the Houston-Galveston Texas jumped 113 Tarpon and boated 86 and many of these bad boy Tarpon were in the 125 to 150 pound mark! Wow, now that's tons of Tarpon!

Congratulations go to Paolo Pacchiarini from Milan, Italy who caught his biggest Tarpon ever on a fly rod--170+ pounds! What a giant that was!
All in all we have had a fabulous season and we wish to thank each and every client for their continued support of Rio Parismina Lodge. November 15, 2013 marks, our 24th year since the lodge began.

Oskar, from Latvia , caught a giant goliath grouper—over 300 lbs. right here in the mouth of the Rio Parismina. He caught this on 30 lb test mono and one of our Ugly Stik rods with a 700 Te Calcutta reel. That must have been a battle!
